These conclusions aim to highlight the concrete actions needed to position the EU as a global leader in the new wave of innovation. The Recommendations on the guiding principles for knowledge valorisation were adopted, which update the recommendations from 2008 and expand the scope of actors.

A policy debate was held on science as an instrument to facilitate policy making in Member States, where the minister in his address gave examples of good practice at the national level and emphasized the importance of science in informed policy-making and consultation during their implementation.

Finally, a discussion was held at the working lunch about technological infrastructures, which are a fairly new concept.

In the afternoon part of the meeting of the Competitiveness Council in the composition of the ministers responsible for space, a policy debate was held on the topic of the exploitation of EU Space data. Minister Fuchs emphasized the importance of awareness-raising activities and enhanced capacity building activities, as well as the importance of a synergetic approach among institutions at EU and national levels, with the objective of including a wider range of public and private stakeholders in space related activities.
